If you follow this blog you already know that Blog Crush is probably my favorite post of the month. For me, my love language is gifting and as a blogger I feel like the best gift I could possible give to the bloggers who inspire me most is the gift of appreciation. So today, we are going to spend some time appreciating one of my absolutely favorite bloggers - Happily Eva After.
Although Eva might qualify as a lifestyle blogger, she has become by far and wide my favorite mommy bloggers to date. When you visit her site you will be immediately greeted by pictures of Eva, her daughter (Marlowe - coolest name ever), her husband (Kyle), and the most adorable baby bump ever as this happy family prepares to expand to a family of four! If you are an avid SnapChat user (like myself - feel free to give me a follow @ nikkawhat) than do yourself a solid and give HappilyEva a follow - you will not regret it!
Now back to the blog...
For me, truly loving a blog/ blogger comes when I find myself consistently connecting with the content they produce. Eva is honest (but not brutal), has opinions (but does not shove them down your throat) AND she lives a happy and holistic lifestyle, which as you know is something K and I strive for on a daily basis.
For me, my connection with Happily Eva After began last April with the most heartbreaking post that touched my heart - Little Angel. This post was Eva's story of her miscarriage, which if you read Nicole's Ink or yesterday's Baby Announcement you know this is something I have experience with too. Reading that post was the first time I felt like somebody understood what I was going through and then a few months later reading His loss: my husband's take on our miscarriage was the first time I felt like I understood K's feelings on our loss. And then to top it all off, as fate would have it we are both pregnant now with little boys and of course she wrote a post about Pregnancy After Miscarriage that yet again made me feel like I am not the only woman in the world who is experiencing ALL of the emotions. Every.Single.One.
Something you might not know about this Blog Crush series is that we do not work with the bloggers we are writing about; we like to consider this a Friday Surprise for our blogging colleagues. However, it seems that Samantha and I unknowingly scheduled this blog crush the week after Eva launched the redesign of her website and might I say it looks A-MAZ-ING!
There are literally a million ways you can connect with Happily Eva After because the content is endless - recipes, life advice, beauty tips, mommy advice, and all the fashion -you name it, she's got it! I hope you all enjoy the space and community Eva has created as much as I do, and as for you Eva please keep on keeping on and know that there is a little blog out there that has a bi ol' crush on you!
