Woohoo, it's time for my third Stitch Fix Reveal (well, third here on the blog)! Before we get started, here is a bit about Stitch Fix if you don't already know:
- It is a personal styling service in which you fill out a style profile, give them links to your Pinterest style board and leave notes for your stylist as regularly or irregularly as you'd like.
- Your stylist takes the time to handpick 5 items for your fix that they think you'll love. These items vary from clothes to jewelry, scarves, purses and even shoes. For my Stitch Fixes I only ask for clothes because that is the area where I lack styling ability.
- They ship you your fix, you receive it and have approximately 2 days to try everything on and decide if you love it or hate it. Then you send back what you don't want in a pre-paid envelope and keep the items you couldn't part with.
- Last little details, Stitch Fix has a $20 fee for each fix sent to you. If you purchase any items the $20 goes towards your purchase and if you purchase all five items you get 25% off! You can get a Fix as often as you want. I am signed up to receive them monthly but I can turn that off at any time, set it up to send only when I request one or I could even bump it up to every two weeks (if only Justin wouldn't have a fit over that...).
It's my favorite time of the month! This fix was pretty on point, there were a few items I was questionable on but after getting a few opinions I made my final decisions!
Gilli - Gary Dress
Medium - $68
When I first took this dress out of the box I thought "meeeh" - I don't know why but just holding it up I thought it looked a bit matronly?! The fit is absolute perfection though and everything in this fix was beyond soft. I can't wait to wear this all summer long!
Oliver liked it too. Notice he's in every picture again.
Gilli - Kathleen Printed Maxi Skirt
Medium - $58
I am not a maxi dress/skirt kind of girl. I just don't know where I would ever wear them. I bought one once and wore it a few times, but most the time they're not long enough and they're this weird in-between where I don't feel like they're fancy but they're also not casual!? I don't know. With that being said, this one is SO soft. So, so soft. And it's SO long, I have 4 inch wedges on there. And, well, Justin said it was flattering so KEEP! I figure worst case scenario, I'll wear it out and about this summer running errands and what not.
Pixley - Stacey Scallop Hem Cut-Out Detail Skirt
Medium - $64
So Erin, from Living In Yellow, requested this skirt in her last fix, and then I saw it on her blog and I requested it in my fix. I was SO happy when my stylist was able to find it in my size and send it my way. The thing is a-ma-zing. I'm obsessed, thank goodness it fit because I had to have it. I mean, it has it all. It's navy - check. It's got cut-outs - check! It's got a scalloped hem - CHECK! And that pop of orange. I'm just in love.
Pixley - Eileen Honeycomb Texture Knit Tank
Medium - $54
Love at first sight! The second I took this out of the box I knew it was a keeper, even if I probably could have used a size small rather than medium. It's crazy soft, rather thick which is actually nice because our summers aren't THAT warm here (usually) and the pattern, texture, color and pop of teal on the shoulders is just too good.
London Times - Annett Dress
Size 6 - $88
I really liked this dress when I first pulled it out, it's colorful, great pattern and is super light weight, all I could think was yes, this would be perfect walking to dinner on a Caribbean vacation (that I'm not going on, btw). But... then I put it on and I really just did not love it. The fit isn't quite right and I feel like I look even boxier than I actually am. With that said, I ended up keeping it. I bought all five items again, my "buy 5 discount" came to $83 and this dress was $88... so I mean... it was basically free, right?! I'll belt it or something.
So, if you were paying attention that's two fixes in a row where I've kept all five items. I've been doing Stitch Fix for over a year and half now and I've only kept all five 3 times!
If you like any of these items don't forget to mention the name in your next note for your stylist and if you've never tried Stitch Fix, I highly recommend you do, you can do that here. Don't forget, these pieces may seem relatively expensive on their own, but I got the 25% discount which practically paid for one of the items!
