Stitch Fix Reveal #2

Woohoo, it's time for my second Stitch Fix Reveal (well, second here on the blog)! Before we get started, here is a bit about Stitch Fix if you don't already know:

  1. It is a personal styling service in which you fill out a style profile, give them links to your Pinterest style board and leave notes for your stylist as regularly or irregularly as you'd like.
  2. Your stylist takes the time to handpick 5 items for your fix that they think you'll love. These items vary from clothes to jewelry, scarves, purses and even shoes. For my Stitch Fixes I only ask for clothes because that is the area where I lack styling ability.
  3. They ship you your fix, you receive it and have approximately 2 days to try everything on and decide if you love it or hate it. Then you send back what you don't want in a pre-paid envelope and keep the items you couldn't part with.
  4. Last little details, Stitch Fix has a $20 fee for each fix sent to you. If you purchase any items the $20 goes towards your purchase and if you purchase all five items you get 25% off! You can get a Fix as often as you want. I am signed up to receive them monthly but I can turn that off at any time, set it up to send only when I request one or I could even bump it up to every two weeks (if only Justin wouldn't have a fit over that...).

This fix was the opposite of last time where I only kept a couple items, I loved everything in this fix and every item has found a comfortable permanent home in my closet. Without further ado...

Justin and I have not 100% figured out the new fancy camera, especially in dim light. Bare with us :)

Pixley Collarless White Blazer w/ Dress

I have been asking for (and receiving) blazers in my fix for a while now but I just hadn't received the right one. Blazers are hard, I want mine to be form fitting enough to look professional if I want to wear them to the office but also have a hint of style. I feel like this one has style in spades. It fits perfectly and can go over dresses or jeans and shirts, trust me I've already tried both! Not to mention, this jacket is pure comfort. Like, sleep in me comfortable.

Daniel Rainn Naima Strappy Back Silk Blouse Bacl

This was Justin's least favorite item, he said it looks boxy. I can't totally disagree with him but it is an amazing jewel tone blue and the strappy detail in the back had me sold before I even got it entirely out of the box. The pleats may make it look a bit boxy, but... whatever, I love it! Plus, with my 25% off from buying all five items, this top was paid for!

Brixon Ivy - Beverlee Knit Dress

As you'll see, Oliver needs to be in every picture here on out. He loves the spot light.

Coincidentally, my Fix arrived Friday evening and I had Nicole's wedding to attend on Saturday. I had a couple possible dresses in mind that I already owned, but this was the clear winner once I tried it on with a belt and some heels. I will say, I'm not a pink type of girl, so the color totally overwhelmed me when I pulled it out of the box, but as they saying goes - don't judge a dress by the color (oh, that's not the saying?). The scallop detail around the top is amazing and garnered lots of compliments at the wedding.

I love anything striped. Period. End of story. I buy it all. This one threw me for a bit of a loop with the cut out shoulders and the cut out piece in the back, but once I put it on those details just added to the appeal. What a fun spring/summer top and, BONUS, I can wear a normal bra with it. Sorry Stitch Fix, if I can't wear a normal bra, I'm probably not going to buy it.

This dress was another one that I pulled out of the box and kind of went "oh wow!", like, that's a lot of pattern! Amazingly though, both Justin and I love it. It fits great and will be a great dress to wear to wedding events this summer (I'm in a wedding, lots of showers, bachelorette parties, etc.). The pattern is definitely busy, but I think it's kind of fun and since there is a lot of black I don't think it's terribly overwhelming. Plus, the fit is great and it's super comfy. Normal bra AND I don't have to suck in the gut. WINNER.

And that's a wrap!

If you like any of these items don't forget to mention the name in your next note for your stylist and if you've never tried Stitch Fix, I highly recommend you do, you can do that here. Don't forget, these pieces may seem relatively expensive on their own, but I got it all way cheaper than I would have at say Banana Republic and I got the 25% off for buying all five!

What did you think of these items? Any major winners in your book? I was surprised by how many of them I loved!
