I can't even tell you how excited I am to finally have a space (and a live in photographer) to finally share all my Stitch Fix orders! If you don't know about Stitch Fix, first of all what rock have you been living under? Secondly, here's a bit about it!
- It is a personal styling service in which you fill out a style profile, give them links to your Pinterest style board and leave notes for your stylist as regularly or irregularly as you'd like.
- Your stylist takes the time to handpick 5 items for your fix that they think you'll love. These items vary from clothes to jewelry, scarves, purses and even shoes. For my Stitch Fixes I only ask for clothes because that is the area where I lack styling ability.
- They ship you your fix, you receive it and have approximately 2 days to try everything on and decide if you love it or hate it. Then you send back what you don't want in a pre-paid envelope and keep the items you couldn't part with.
- Last little details, Stitch Fix has a $20 fee for each fix sent to you. If you purchase any items the $20 goes towards your purchase and if you purchase all five items you get 25% off! You can get a Fix as often as you want. I am signed up to receive them monthly but I can turn that off at any time, set it up to send only when I request one or I could even bump it up to every two weeks (if only Justin wouldn't have a fit over that...).
So, without further ado... Remember to Pin any items you like and mention them to your stylist for your next Fix!
Stitch Fix Reveal #1
Margaret M - Christiana Printed Pencil Skirt
Medium - $78
I actually have another skirt similar to this one from Stitch Fix that is hot pink and black and I love it. LOVE IT. These are just stretch, no zipper or hooks and I love them. They're so comfortable, not too tight and stay up perfectly. With the pattern in my favorite color - navy - how could I say no? Keep!
Alice Blue - Frey Roll Tab Blouse
Medium - $48
I'm a little sad to be returning this one. It fit great but was a little long in the back and I have a navy blue flowy blouse that is very, very similar. This one was a cool fabric though and if I didn't have something nearly identical it probably would have been a keep at this price! I may not love it with jeans, but it's tucked into the skirt above and I sure don't hate that!
Skies are Blue - Laurice Color Trim Knit Top
Medium - $48
Now I realize I took these pictures with the timer on my camera and not some fancy photographer but I couldn't get a flattering picture for the life of me in this top. Definite return. It's unfortunate because the color and pattern are fun and I love the color block on the back. Just not a good look.
41Hawthorn - Montreal Henley Blouse
Medium - $48
This was a keep the second I pulled it out of the box, and maybe I'm just having a bad night where I don't think anything looks quite right, but as soon as I put it on I changed my mind. It's just too short and as Justin said when he saw the pictures, it looks just like all my other clothes... Had to return this one too. Guys, I never return this many items! I'm on the verge of tears. Alright, slight exaggeration, but seriously.
41Hawthorn - Billi Open Cardigan
Medium - $58
Returned (all the tears)
Any time Stitch Fix sends me a cardigan there's about 110% chance I'll be keeping it. I just don't know what happened here. It's not very long, the pockets are kind of weird and it just didn't fit quite right. For real, now I do want to cry a little. Returned.
So this was not the best of my Fixes thus far but I have faith that next months will be better! Remember, if you do love any of these items you can leave the name on your note for your next Stitch Fix and if you want to sign up and give Stitch Fix a try (I know, this was such a glowing review), you can do that here!
What did you think of these items? Any I should have kept that I returned?? Do you do Stitch Fix, what's your experience been? I LOVE Stitch Fix generally!
