Nicole had told me previously that she has a psychic she talks to at least once a year but I hadn't thought much of it. I wouldn't say I'm a skeptic by any means, I have always loved watching shows like Long Island Medium and hearing about people's experiences with psychics, but I had never, ever considered paying my own hard earned money for a reading.
And then Nicole and I got dinner between her birthday and my own (separated by only 5 days!).
Nicole had just had her annual reading with Rahbekah (if that's not a psychics name, I don't know what is!), and was telling me about it. One thing led to another and she offered to get me a reading for my birthday. I obviously accepted, who turns down that kind of experience?
Rahbekah does what she calls a wheel of the year, where within 3 days of your birthday, she can tell you about the next year of your life. How work will go, how your relationship might look, things you should focus on or work towards, etc. I immediately scheduled an appointment for the Friday before my birthday.
To be completely honest, I had no idea what to expect. I didn't go into the call with questions written out (which, I learned, you should!), I didn't answer the phone call expecting to have anything spectacular or amazing revealed. I mostly assumed that I would get some high level "oh you'll be very happy. You'll prosper and stay busy" type crap. But no. No, no, no. She brought up some very personal information and knew some things that no one really knows. It was crazy.
She talked about some family stuff that I haven't told many people about, she brought up my brother's cancer and talked a bit about Justin's family. She talked about my new job and brought up a few internal conflicts I've been having over it (keyword being internal, the only person I'd mentioned these things to was Justin, and that was the night before my call with Rahbekah). It was pretty amazing the things she knew and the input she had.
After she spoke a little bit about my life in general, we went into the wheel of the year. She told me that she drew the Empress card for my theme and from what she said, and what good ol' Google told me, that Empress card is:
My main themes for my 29th year were:
- Working hard and excelling/advancing my career
- Having a baby
For any of you who know anything about Tarot cards, which I do not, she also drew the Ace of Cups for me, which means lots of things, but in my case apparently means I'll be having a baby. I'm going to go ahead and call BS on that one, modern medicine is a wonderful thing and a baby is not in the cards for us... HOWEVER, it was enlightening and interesting. And maybe she meant a puppy?!
I'd say that talking to Rahbekah actually cleared up a lot of confusion and strife I was having and gave me some good insight into why I do some things and behave in some ways. I never thought I'd say this, but I now look forward to speaking to Rahbekah every year right around my birthday just like Nicole. I can't say that everything is going to be 100% accurate, I would definitely recommend taking any psychic reading with a grain of salt, but it was interesting and it was an experience and I look forward to doing it again!
